4. Stir and left sit for 5 minutes ( keep the ingredients in the drink while you enjoy it)

2. Apple cinnamon water

Apples and cinnamon boost the metabolism, so combining them in some nice, crisp cold water you can sip on all day will do your body a whole lot of good. Johns of Lose Weight by Eating explains that apples are rich in vitamins C and B, and the phytonutrients and antioxidants in apples might reduce your risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes and heart disease. Cinnamon is also packed with amazing benefits, such as lowering cholesterol and fighting diabetes.
Ingredients:

• 1 Apple thinly sliced, I like Fuji but pick your favorite. Cut away the seeds.
• 1 Cinnamon Stick. I don’t recommend using powdered cinnamon, it clogs the water.
Get started:
1. Drop apple slices in the bottom of the pitcher (save a few to drop in your glass later) and then the cinnamon stick.
2. Cover with ice about 1/2 way through then with water. Place in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
3. You can refill the container 2-3 times before it begins to lose flavor.

3. Strawberry, citrus, cinnamon water

To curb cravings for sweets, and keep your complexion nice and clear, Blogilates Designs suggests this strawberry-citrus-cinnamon water. The lemon aids digestion, the cinnamon manages your blood sugar levels and satisfies your cravings, and the strawberries are packed with skin-healthy properties like biotin and antioxidants.
Ingredients:
– 1/2 small lemon sliced
– 1 strawberry sliced
– 1/4 apple sliced
– a few fresh mint leaves
– 1/4 tsp of cinnamon
– 24 oz of ice cold water

4. Blueberry orange water

Blueberries are packed with antioxidants and fiber and are even said to help reduce your chances of developing a urinary tract infection (UTI). Oranges are packed with that citrus flavor that is so good in water, but without all the pucker and sourness of lemons or limes. Plus, oranges give you all the vitamin C your body is craving.
Ingredients
• 6 cups water
• 2 mandarin oranges,cut into wedges
• a handful of blueberries
• ice
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in a pitcher and put in the fridge for 2-24 hours to allow the water to infuse.
2. You can also squeeze in the juice of one mandarin orange and muddle the blueberries to intensify flavor a bit.
3. Serve cold.

5. Mango ginger water

This fruit water recipe isn’t as widely popular as the rest, and that’s why we think it’s a great little health secret. Mangoes and ginger are incredible for boosting your metabolism, but they also have some amazing healing properties.

Ginger is a natural pain reliever, and it helps reduce morning and motion sickness, as well as helps treat heart burn. Johns of Lose Weight by Eating also points out that mangoes promote healthy digestion, boost memory and even increase your sex drive.

It’s getting easier to infuse water as more infusion products are available in stores. Big infusion pitchers or individual infusion water bottles with a place to put fruits or vegetables can be found at your local supermarket. If you don’t want to break the bank, you can use a mason jar and strain out the fruit and vegetable pieces left in the water.

These can be stored in airtight glasses, simply in a mason jar, glass pitcher, water bottle, gallon jug, etc. Whatever works for you. Best kept in the refrigerator for up to a week or until the flavor is no longer present.

Burn Stubborn Belly Fat With THIS Metabolism-Boosting Detox Water

It’s important to stay hydrated throughout the day. Water is the best beverage choice and there are ways we can enhance not only the flavor but add nutrition, too. Infusing water with fruit and spices serves that purpose. Here we offer an apple cinnamon infusion recipe that will not only encourage you to drink water but add detoxifiers and energy boosters in the mix.

Here’s how

Fresh, organic apples can be found virtually all year ‘round at your supermarket so you can give this a try any time. Apples are a fruit staple—they’re very versatile with a mild flavor and packed with nutrition:

Metabolism-Boosting Detox Water
Antioxidants quercetin, catechin, phloridzin, and chlorogenic acid – apples are the primary source of phytochemical phenolics (a type of flavonoid antioxidant) consumed in the U.S.A.
“Not only are apples commonly enjoyed by many cultures, but they are also a good source of antioxidants. When compared to many other commonly consumed fruits in the United States, apples had the second highest level of antioxidant activity…Apples also ranked the second for total concentration of phenolic compounds, and perhaps more importantly, apples had the highest portion of free phenolics when compared to other fruits. This means that these compounds are not bound to other compounds in the fruits, and the phenolics may be more available for eventual absorption into the bloodstream. Since fruits and vegetables are high in antioxidants, a diet high in these foods should help prevent oxidative stress, and may therefore help prevent chronic disease and slow aging.”

• Nutritional fiber – pectin in apples have been found to lower cholesterol, moderate blood pressure, and promote healthy digestion. The soluble fiber in apples detoxifies by pushing waste through the colon, like digestive Drano. It also slows the metabolism of carbohydrates, regulating blood sugar.
“Along with antioxidant protection, apples contain pectin, a soluble fiber that helps lower blood cholesterol. Higher blood cholesterol is associated with a greater incidence of heart disease. In the Women’s Health Study of about 40,000 U.S. women, researchers analyzed apple consumption and heart health. After controlling for other fruits along with vegetables, fiber and other nutrients, the study found that women who ate at least one apple a day developed 22 percent less heart disease than women who ate no apples.”
• Vitamin C – while the actual content in an apple is modest at about ten percent of the daily recommended amount, an apple a day will surely help keep the doctor away—even a dermatologist: vitamin C is an important catalyst in the production of collagen, key to wound healing and skin health.
• Low calorie content
• Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, E, and K and minerals calcium, iron, and potassium
Apples and cinnamon seem to have been made for each other, their flavors blend so well

Cinnamon is a superspice. The highlights, in the context of infused water to support detoxification and weight loss:
• Speeds metabolism by moderating blood sugar and improving insulin sensitivity through antioxidant phytonutrients and chromium content.

“Subjects with the metabolic syndrome who consume an aqueous extract of cinnamon have been shown to have improved fasting blood glucose, systolic blood pressure, percentage body fat and increased lean body mass compared with the placebo group. Studies utilizing an aqueous extract of cinnamon, high in type A polyphenols, have also demonstrated improvements in fasting glucose, glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity in women with insulin resistance associated with the polycystic ovary syndrome.”

• Reduces triglycerides and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, reducing risk factors for diabetes and cardiovascular disease
• Anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, and antifungal
• Promotes mental acuity and reduces fatigue, improving focus and mood
• Rich in calcium, fiber, and manganese.
There are two ways to make this detoxifying water infusion—whichever you choose, you’ll get the formidable one-two of the apple-cinnamon punch. Any variety of apples will do but you might consider a green one—Granny Smiths contain more fiber than other kinds and it’s the fiber that is so key to detox and weight loss.

Raisin Water for Liver Detox and Natural Colon Cleanse

The liver is a biochemical laboratory in the body, which carries more complex processes. It is responsible for the decomposition of the produced toxins. Often excessive intake of medicines, improper diet and certain bacterial and viral infections leave some consequences and not rare pose a threat to the health of the liver.

The procedure for cleansing and detoxification of this organ using raisin water (besides cleaning the body with rice) is very powerful method for recovery of the organism and its relieving from toxins and many chronic diseases, because the intoxication of the body prevents it to include a mechanism for self-healing and also significantly reduces the effectiveness of drugs and recipes of traditional medicine. Liver in the body acts as a factory for blood.

It also helps to strengthen and to stimulate the digestion. The liver also performs another function in the body and it is cleaning the blood and removing all the toxins and waste products from it. Hence it is clear that clean liver means health, vitality, energy, nice appearance and good mood.

Raisins Benefits

Doctors often recommend that you eat raisins in the morning to take better care of your heart, eliminate bad cholesterol, lower your triglyceride levels, and prevent constipation or an upset stomach.

Raisins are a natural source of vitamins and minerals, but those benefits are increased tremendously if you consume the water that they are soaked in. This is because the sugar content is reduced, and you’re still obtaining an excellent medicinal remedy for the liver.

Raisins are one of the best natural sources for antioxidants. All you need to remember is that they’re just dried grapes, which are a fruit that’s rich in bioflavonoids that help protect you from free radicals and strengthen your defenses against disease. Raisins and raisin water have been traditionally used to prevent the occurrence of various heart and liver diseases. It’s worth keeping in mind.

How To Cleanse Your Liver With Raisin Water

Cleaning the liver with black grapes begins with the following procedure: first choose quality organic raisins that today we cannot find quite easily. You should avoid very light, nice yellowish raisins. Bright color of raisins is a result of the treatment with sulfur dioxide or in the best case of violation of the rules during the drying. Do not pay attention to the “glowing” raisins, which is also chemically treated. Quality raisins are without luster, wrinkled, not too soft, nor too hard (soft like rubber). Grains must be preserved and not damaged.

Good raisins must be dark or with brown color (if it comes from brighter grape variety – then it has a light brown color). There is also a black raisin with blue shade, which gets darker varieties of the wine. It would be ideal if you can find raisins in small stalks on the grapes, which is one of the main indicators of naturalness of raisins. Once you select the right and not chemical treated raisins, then you can begin to prepare the asset for cleaning the liver.

  • Put a half of a cup of raisins in hot water in the morning. After 15 minutes wash the raisins well with running water.
  • Place the washed raisins in cup and fill the cup to the top with boiled water that is cooled to room temperature. Leave the grapes so stand 24 hours (to the next morning).
  • The next morning drink the potion and eat the raisins on an empty stomach.
  • Follow this regimen for four days, at least. Have everything prepared to drink your raisin water the minute you wake up the next morning.

Perform this treatment once a month, and it has no side effects. What’s most interesting is that you avoid the high sugar intake that is normally found in raisins. If you also follow a diet that’s low in fat and includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables you’ll promote better liver health overall, and raisin water makes an excellent complement to your routine.

6 Folk Remedies to Treat Liver Disease & Detox Your Liver

The liver is often called ”the brain of the womb” and is considered the most important patron of the organism. It receives major shock when you overdo it with the use of drugs, heavy foods or artificial stimulants.

The liver has the task to cancel the operation of poisons and toxins in the body and therefore we must pay great attention to preserve its optimal state.

Old Babylonians called the liver ,, an organ of malice” ; this name can still be justified, because we know that bad mood, constant tension and negative emotions may keep the flow of bile from the liver.

If the nervous excitement is constant, there is a narrowing of the bile ducts, a deadlock of the bile and its dismantling in the blood.

The protracted deadlock in the bile ducts and the bubble leads to the formation of gallstones.

The condition of the liver is directly dependent on diet. Before listing some of the many recipes that natural medicine offers, here’s a list of trusted friends and enemies of the liver.

  • Ingredients that are on the list of desirable ones are artichokes and dandellion (Taraxacum officinale ), which is used in the preparation of a very healthy salad, and tea.
  •  An excellent remedy for liver are the watercress, carrots and olives, and of course a quality oil from them, as well as lemon juice.
  • In early spring, a salad of young nettles is recommended, in which you can add young leaves of dandellion. Nettle can be poured with hot water, chopped and spiced with a sour cream.
  • In the summer, you should eat watermelon, and apples in the winter (a compote), oranges and grapefruit. Remove the fruit’s skin if you eat it fresh, and you should make different kinds of compotes out of fresh or dried fruit, so you will ease your digestion.
  • oiled vegetables are also recommended, always poured with a good oil, and spices, at least for a while, should be forgotten.
  • What you should not eat
  • Animal fats should be omitted, as well as pork -- in all variants – then, the meat of ducks, goose and sheep.

Do not eat fatty and tough meat soups, meat, chocolate, ice cream, egg yolks. Some persons are heavy and bananas, melons, apricots and plums, as well as cabbage, beets, cucumbers and spinach.
You must carefully determine what the liver likes and what not, stick to its choice, and then access by stimulation of healing potions from herbs.

Teas to treat liver diseases

1. Agrimony is one of the best herbs for liver diseases. The tea can be drunk alone or in combination with chicory. In the home of one suffering from liver, there should always be sage, mint and rosemary.

Teas can be prepared from these herbs, that will accelerate the recovery of this important body organ and will flush toxins from the body.

2. These teas should be drunk for prevention; It’s better to focus on them on time, than on a coffee or artificial drinks. In the case of an attack, it is good that you put warm compresses with the tea you prefer on the sore area.

The liver needs to be purified by means of corn silk tea, which is drunk in the amount of half a cup, 2-4 times a day for several months.

3.In cases of various kinds of poisoning, which primarily affect the liver, a tea mixture of chamomile, St. John’s wort and mint will be of great help.
You must drink it as much as possible, and along with it, in order to speed up the cleaning process, make an enema from the same tea.

4. For liver regeneration and improvements of its function, we suggest an elixir, which is made from freshly squeezed juice of dandelion (in the period while the plant is still quite young and has not begun to bloom) and the true, pure bee honey.

This drink strengthens the body, strengthens the liver and establishes a better metabolism.

The plant harvested for the purposes of treatment should not be from polluted areas -- parks, for example, lawns next to highways and the like.

This rule applies to all medicinal herbs, but we especially mention the dandelion, as it can be, more often than other plants, found in the city center.

5. Russian doctors who deal with natural medicine recommend a course with young birch leaves in cases of chronic cholecystitis:

Pour a cup of boiling water on 5 young birch leaves and leave them overnight. Drink this three times every day, always before meals, and each day add one more slip.

When you reach the 25 leaves, decrease to the initial 5. The therapy is conducted in the spring, while the leaves are still quite young, and can be, if necessary, repeated the following spring.

Another trusted and highly effective cure from the treasury of an old Slovenian herbalist will be of inestimable benefit to diseased liver and kidneys.

6. Take a jar with 1 kg of fresh spring floral honey and place it in hot water (not exceeding 42 C), to dissolve and to becomes viscous. Then, pour 1/2 kg of finely ground walnuts in the honey. Stir well and leave it during the day.

Take 1 tablespoon before eating in a period of one month, 2 times a day – in the morning and in the evening, and during the following 30 days, make a break.

Take it again over the next month. Then again, pause for 2 months, and then take the cure for another more month.

This treatment lasts 6 months and has a guaranteed success.
